Badi Sarokar Manch Nepal is a common platform of the likeminded individuals and groups that advocate a paradigm shift in the outmoded development strategy now extant. BSMN promotes a right-based approach to people-centered development and advocates for the realization of social, cultural, political and economic rights by undertaking appropriate measures for poverty reduction, social development and lobbying for transforming the power relations that sustain the structural causes of poverty. It works with marginalized  ethnic and caste groups from various provinces for their empowerment and improvement to their quality life; links the process of poverty reduction to democratic governance and rights-based participation; and takes into critical consideration the development agenda of the global aid regime. 

BSMN is a voice of excluded and marginalized people. It believes in working with and for excluded, neglected and marginalized communities. It is not only a charitable action but also one that can bring about social changes. BSMN advocates to ensure the protection and promotion of rights, abolish all kinds of violations and discriminations, increase access to public resources and services through creating awareness, lobbing, campaigning, and assisting development action as well as social concretization. It directly collaborates with people’s support in the field of integration, education, health, economic upliftment, empowerment and inclusion. In order to translate BSMN’s concept of working for the excluded people with the excluded people and by the excluded people together with common efforts, priority is given to promoting and ensuring people rights to participation. BSMN is devoted to fight against the socio-political discrimination, exploitation and extreme poverty of marginalized and excluded community.

BSMN operates under the guidance of an Executive Committee, comprised of five members representing diverse talents from the Badi community. The organization is registered with the Company Register Office Kathmandu under number 273085 and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal under number 53960. BSMN primarily focuses its efforts in the Karnali province of Nepal, with its headquarters located in Birendranagar, Surkhet.
